Chapter
Yahweh sent Nathan to David. He came to him, and said to him, "There were two men in one city; the one rich, and the other poor.2Sa 7:1-5 2Sa 24:11-13 1Ki 13:1 1Ki 18:1 2Ki 1:3
The rich man had very many flocks and herds,2Sa 12:8 2Sa 3:2-5 2Sa 5:13-16 2Sa 15:16 Jb 1:3
but the poor man had nothing, except one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and raised. It grew up together with him, and with his children. It ate of his own food, drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was to him like a daughter.2Sa 11:3 Pr 5:18 Pr 5:19
A traveler came to the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man who had come to him, but took the poor man`s lamb, and dressed it for the man who had come to him."Gn 18:2-7 Jm 1:14
David`s anger was greatly kindled against the man, and he said to Nathan, "As Yahweh lives, the man who has done this is worthy to die!Gn 38:24 1Sa 25:21 1Sa 25:22 Lk 6:41 Lk 6:42 Lk 9:55 Ro 2:1
He shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity!"Ex 22:1 Pr 6:31 Lk 19:8
Nathan said to David, "You are the man. This is what Yahweh, the God of Israel, says: `I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul.1Sa 13:13 1Ki 18:18 1Ki 21:19 1Ki 21:20 Mt 14:14
I gave you your master`s house, and your master`s wives into your bosom, and gave you the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that would have been too little, I would have added to you many more such things.2Sa 12:11 1Ki 2:22
Why have you despised the word of Yahweh, to do that which is evil in his sight? You have struck Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and have taken his wife to be your wife, and have slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.2Sa 12:10 2Sa 11:4 2Sa 11:14-17 Gn 9:5 Gn 9:6 Ex 20:13 Ex 20:14 Nm 15:30 Nm 15:31 1Sa 15:19 1Sa 15:23 Isa 5:24 Am 2:4 Heb 10:28 Heb 10:29
Now therefore the sword will never depart from your house, because you have despised me, and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.`2Sa 13:28 2Sa 13:29 2Sa 18:14 2Sa 18:15 2Sa 18:33 1Ki 2:23-25 Am 7:9 Mt 26:52
This is what Yahweh says: `Behold, I will raise up evil against you out of your own house; and I will take your wives before your eyes, and give them to your neighbor, and he will lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.2Sa 13:1-14 2Sa 13:28-14 2Sa 13:29-14 2Sa 15:6 2Sa 15:10
For you did it secretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.`"2Sa 11:4 2Sa 11:8 2Sa 11:13 2Sa 11:15 Ec 12:14 Lk 12:1 Lk 12:2 1Co 4:5
David said to Nathan, "I have sinned against Yahweh." Nathan said to David, "Yahweh also has put away your sin. You will not die.1Sa 15:20 1Sa 15:24 1Ki 13:4 1Ki 21:20 1Ki 22:8 2Ki 1:9 2Ch 16:10 2Ch 24:20-22 2Ch 25:16 Mt 14:3-5 Mt 14:10-5
However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to Yahweh`s enemies to blaspheme, the child also who is born to you shall surely die."Ne 5:9 Ps 74:10 Isa 52:5 Ezk 36:20-23 Mt 18:7 Ro 2:24

It happened on the seventh day, that the child died. The servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead; for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spoke to him, and he didn`t listen to our voice: how will he then vex himself, if we tell him that the child is dead!2Sa 12:18 Nm 20:15
But when David saw that his servants were whispering together, David perceived that the child was dead; and David said to his servants, Is the child dead? They said, He is dead.
Then David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his clothing; and he came into the house of Yahweh, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they set bread before him, and he ate.Jb 1:20 Jb 2:10 Ps 39:9 Lam 3:39-41
Then said his servants to him, What thing is this that you have done? you did fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, you did rise and eat bread.1Co 2:15
He said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who knows whether Yahweh will not be gracious to me, that the child may live?Isa 38:1-3 Isa 38:5-3 Jl 1:14 Jl 2:14 Am 5:15 Jon 1:6 Jon 3:9 Jon 3:10 Jm 4:9 Jm 4:10

Now Joab fought against Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and took the royal city.2Sa 11:25 1Ch 20:1
Joab sent messengers to David, and said, I have fought against Rabbah; yes, I have taken the city of waters.2Sa 11:1 Dt 3:11 Ezk 21:20
Now therefore gather the rest of the people together, and encamp against the city, and take it; lest I take the city, and it be called after my name.Jn 7:18
David gathered all the people together, and went to Rabbah, and fought against it, and took it.
He took the crown of their king from off his head; and the weight of it was a talent of gold, and [in it were] precious stones; and it was set on David`s head. He brought forth the spoil of the city, exceeding much.1Ch 20:2
