Chapter
1Now there was a certain man of Ramathaim-zophim, of the hill-country of Ephraim, and his name was Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephraimite:1Sa 1:19 Mt 27:57
2and he had two wives; the name of the one was Hannah, and the name of other Peninnah: and Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children.Gn 4:19 Gn 4:23 Gn 29:23-29 Jg 8:30 Mt 19:8

6Her rival provoked her sore, to make her fret, because Yahweh had shut up her womb.Lv 18:18 Jb 6:14

16Don`t count your handmaid for a wicked woman; for out of the abundance of my complaint and my provocation have I spoken hitherto.1Sa 2:12 1Sa 10:27 1Sa 25:25 Dt 13:13
