Chapter
Brothers, my heart`s desire and my prayer to God is for Israel, that they may be saved.Ro 9:1-3 Ex 32:10 Ex 32:13 1Sa 12:23 1Sa 15:11 1Sa 15:35 1Sa 16:1 Jer 17:16 Jer 18:20 Lk 13:34 Jn 5:34 1Co 9:20-22
For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.2Co 8:3 Ga 4:15 Col 4:13
For being ignorant of God`s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they didn`t subject themselves to the righteousness of God.Ro 1:17 Ro 3:22 Ro 3:26 Ro 5:19 Ro 9:30 Ps 71:15 Ps 71:16 Ps 71:19 Isa 51:6 Isa 51:8 Isa 56:1 Jer 23:5 Jer 23:6 Dn 9:24 Jn 16:9 Jn 16:10 2Co 5:21 2Pe 1:1
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.Ro 3:25-31 Ro 8:3 Ro 8:4 Isa 53:11 Mt 3:15 Mt 5:17 Mt 5:18 Jn 1:17 Ac 13:38 Ac 13:39 1Co 1:30 Ga 3:24 Col 2:10 Col 2:17 Heb 9:7-14 Heb 10:8-12 Heb 10:14-12
For Moses writes about the righteousness of the law, "The one who does them will live by them."Lv 18:5 Ne 9:29 Ezk 20:11 Ezk 20:13 Ezk 20:21 Lk 10:27 Lk 10:28 Ga 3:12
But the righteousness which is of faith says this, "Don`t say in your heart, `Who will ascend into heaven?` (that is, to bring Christ down);Ro 3:22 Ro 3:25 Ro 4:13 Ro 9:31 Php 3:9 Heb 11:7
or, `Who will descend into the abyss?` (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead.)"Ro 4:25 Heb 13:20 1Pe 3:18 1Pe 3:22 Rev 1:18
But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart;" that is, the word of faith, which we preach:Dt 30:14
that if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.Ro 14:11 Mt 10:32 Mt 10:33 Lk 12:8 Jn 9:22 Jn 12:42 Jn 12:43 Php 2:11 1Jn 4:2 1Jn 4:3 2Jn 1:7
For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.Lk 8:15 Jn 1:12 Jn 1:13 Jn 3:19-21 Heb 3:12 Heb 10:22
For the scripture says, "Whoever believes in him will not be put to shame."Ro 9:33 Isa 28:16 Isa 49:23 Jer 17:7 1Pe 2:6
For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich to all who call on him.Ro 3:22 Ro 3:29 Ro 3:30 Ro 4:11 Ro 4:12 Ro 9:24 Ac 10:34 Ac 10:35 Ac 15:8 Ac 15:9 Ga 3:28 Eph 2:18-22 Eph 3:6 Col 3:11
For, "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved."Jl 2:32 Ac 2:21
How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher?1Ki 8:41-43 Jon 1:5 Jon 1:9-11 Jon 1:16-11 Jon 3:5-9 Heb 11:6 Jm 5:15
And how will they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!"Jer 23:32 Mt 9:38 Mt 10:1-6 Mt 28:18-20 Lk 10:1 Jn 20:21 Ac 9:15 Ac 13:2-4 Ac 22:21 1Co 12:28 1Co 12:29 2Co 5:18-20 Eph 3:8 Eph 4:11 Eph 4:12 1Pe 1:12
But they didn`t all listen to the glad news. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed our report?"Ro 3:3 Ro 11:17 Jn 10:26 Ac 28:24 Heb 4:2 1Pe 2:8
So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.Ro 10:14 Ro 1:16 Lk 16:29-31 1Co 1:18-24 Col 1:4-6 1Th 2:13 2Th 2:13 2Th 2:14 Jm 1:18-21 1Pe 1:23-25 1Pe 2:1 1Pe 2:2
But I say, didn`t they hear? Yes, most assuredly, "Their sound went out into all the earth, Their words to the ends of the world."Ac 2:5-11 Ac 26:20 Ac 28:23
But I ask, didn`t Israel know? First Moses says, "I will provoke you to jealousy with that which is no nation, With a nation void of understanding I will make you angry."Ro 10:18 Ro 3:26 1Co 1:12 1Co 7:29 1Co 10:19 1Co 11:22 1Co 15:50
Isaiah is very bold, and says, "I was found by those who didn`t seek me. I was revealed to those who didn`t ask for me."Pr 28:1 Isa 58:1 Eph 6:19 Eph 6:20
But as to Israel he says, "All day long I stretched out my hands to a disobedient and contrary people.Pr 1:24 Isa 65:2-5 Jer 25:4 Jer 35:15 Mt 20:1-15 Mt 21:33-43 Mt 22:3-7 Mt 23:34-37 Lk 24:47 Ac 13:46 Ac 13:47
