Book
Chapter
On that day Jesus went out of the house, and sat by the seaside.Mk 2:13 Mk 4:1
Great multitudes gathered to him, so that he entered into a boat, and sat, and all the multitude stood on the beach.Mt 4:25 Mt 15:30 Gn 49:10 Lk 8:4-8
He spoke to them many things in parables, saying, "Behold, the farmer went forth to sow.Mt 13:10-13 Mt 13:34-13 Mt 13:35-13 Mt 13:53-13 Mt 22:1 Mt 24:32 Jg 9:8-20 2Sa 12:1-7 Ps 49:4 Ps 78:2 Isa 5:1-7 Ezk 17:2 Ezk 20:49 Ezk 24:3-14 Mic 2:4 Hab 2:6 Mk 3:23 Mk 4:2 Mk 4:13 Mk 4:33 Mk 12:1 Mk 12:12 Lk 8:10 Lk 12:41 Lk 15:3-7 Jn 16:25
As he sowed, some seeds fell by the roadside, and the birds came and devoured them.Mt 13:18 Mt 13:19
Others fell on rocky ground, where they didn`t have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, because they had no deepness of earth.Mt 13:20 Ezk 11:19 Ezk 36:26 Am 6:12 Zc 7:12
When the sun had risen, they were scorched. Because they had no root, they withered away.Mt 13:21 Isa 49:10 Jm 1:11 Jm 1:12 Rev 7:16
Others fell on thorns. The thorns grew up and choked them:Mt 13:22 Gn 3:18 Jer 4:3 Jer 4:4 Mk 4:18 Mk 4:19
and others fell on good soil, and yielded fruit: some one hundred times, some sixty, and some thirty.Mt 13:23 Lk 8:15 Ro 7:18
He who has ears to hear, let him hear."Mt 13:16 Mt 11:15 Mk 4:9 Mk 4:23 Mk 7:14-16 Rev 2:7 Rev 2:11 Rev 2:17 Rev 2:29 Rev 3:6 Rev 3:13 Rev 3:22 Rev 13:8 Rev 13:9
The disciples came, and said to him, "Why do you speak to them in parables?"Mk 4:10 Mk 4:33 Mk 4:34
He answered them, "To you it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but it is not given to them.Mt 11:25 Mt 11:26 Mt 16:17 Ps 25:8 Ps 25:9 Ps 25:14 Isa 29:10 Isa 35:8 Mk 4:11 Lk 8:10 Lk 10:39-42 Jn 7:17 Ac 16:14 Ac 17:11 Ac 17:12 1Co 2:9 1Co 2:10 1Co 2:14 1Co 4:7 Jm 1:5 Jm 1:16-18 1Jn 2:27
For whoever has, to him will be given, and he will have abundance, but whoever doesn`t have, from him will be taken away even that which he has.Mt 25:29 Mk 4:24 Mk 4:25 Lk 8:18 Lk 9:26 Lk 19:24-26 Jn 15:2-5
Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they don`t see, and hearing, they don`t hear, neither do they understand.Mt 13:16 Dt 29:3 Dt 29:4 Isa 42:18-20 Isa 44:18 Jer 5:21 Ezk 12:2 Mk 8:17 Mk 8:18 Jn 3:19 Jn 3:20 Jn 9:39-41 2Co 4:3 2Co 4:4
In them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says, `By hearing you will hear, and will in no way understand; Seeing you will see, and will in no way perceive:Isa 6:9 Isa 6:10 Ezk 12:2 Mk 4:12 Lk 8:10 Jn 12:39 Jn 12:40 Ac 28:25-27 Ro 11:8-10 2Co 3:14
For this people`s heart has grown callous, Their ears are dull of hearing, Their eyes they have closed; Or else perhaps they might perceive with their eyes, Hear with their ears, Understand with their heart, And should turn again; And I would heal them.`Ps 119:70
"But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear.Mt 5:3-11 Mt 16:17 Lk 2:29 Lk 2:30 Lk 10:23 Lk 10:24 Jn 20:29 Ac 26:18 2Co 4:6 Eph 1:17 Eph 1:18
For most assuredly I tell you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see the things which you see, and didn`t see them; and to hear the things which you hear, and didn`t hear them.Lk 10:24 Jn 8:56 Eph 3:5 Eph 3:6 Heb 11:13 Heb 11:39 Heb 11:40 1Pe 1:10-12
"Hear, then, the parable of the farmer.Mt 13:11 Mt 13:12 Mk 4:14-20
When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and doesn`t understand it, the evil one comes, and snatches away that which has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown by the roadside.Mt 4:23 Lk 8:11-15 Lk 9:2 Lk 10:9 Ac 20:25 Ac 28:23 Ro 14:17 2Co 4:2 2Co 4:3 Eph 3:8
What was sown on the rocky places, this is he who hears the word, and immediately with joy receives it;Mt 13:5 Mt 13:6
yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while. When oppression or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.Mt 13:6 Mt 7:22 Mt 7:23 Mt 7:26 Mt 7:27 Jb 19:28 Pr 12:3 Pr 12:12 Lk 8:13 Jn 6:26 Jn 6:61-65 Jn 6:70 Jn 6:71 Jn 15:5-7 Ac 8:21-23 Ga 5:6 Ga 6:15 Eph 3:17 2Pe 1:8 2Pe 1:9 1Jn 2:19 1Jn 2:20
What was sown among the thorns, this is he who hears the word, but the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.Mt 13:7 Mk 4:18 Lk 8:14 Lk 18:24 2Ti 4:10
What was sown on the good ground, this is he who hears the word, and understands it, who most assuredly bears fruit, and brings forth, some one hundred times, some sixty, some thirty."Mt 13:8 Mk 4:20 Lk 8:15
He set another parable before them, saying, "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field,Mt 21:33 Jg 14:12 Jg 14:13 Isa 28:10 Isa 28:13 Ezk 17:2
but while people slept, his enemy came and sowed darnel also among the wheat, and went away.Mt 25:5 Isa 56:9 Isa 56:10 Ac 20:30 Ac 20:31 Ga 2:4 2Ti 4:3-5 Heb 12:15 2Pe 2:1 Rev 2:20
But when the blade sprang up and brought forth fruit, then the darnel appeared also.Mk 4:26-29
The servants of the householder came and said to him, `Sir, didn`t you sow good seed in your field? Where did this darnel come from?`1Co 3:5-9 1Co 12:28 1Co 12:29 1Co 16:10 2Co 5:18-20 2Co 6:1 2Co 6:4 Eph 4:11 Eph 4:12
He said to them, `An enemy has done this.` The servants asked him, `Do you want us to go and gather them up?`Lk 9:49-54 1Co 5:3-7 2Co 2:6-11 1Th 5:14 Jud 1:22 Jud 1:23
But he said, `No, lest perhaps while you gather up the darnel, you root up the wheat with them.
Let both grow together until the harvest, and in the harvest time I will tell the reapers, "First, gather up the darnel, and bind them in bundles to burn them; but gather the wheat into my barn."`"Mt 13:39 Mt 3:12 Mt 22:10-14 Mt 25:6-13 Mt 25:32-13 Mal 3:18 1Co 4:5
He set another parable before them, saying, "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field;Mt 13:24 Lk 19:11 Lk 20:9
which indeed is smaller than all seeds. But when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in its branches."Ps 72:16-19 Isa 2:2-4 Ezk 47:1-5 Dn 2:34 Dn 2:35 Dn 2:44 Dn 2:45 Mic 4:1-3 Zc 4:10 Zc 8:20-23 Zc 14:7-10 Ac 1:15 Ac 21:20 Ro 15:18 Ro 15:19 Rev 11:15
He spoke another parable to them. "The Kingdom of Heaven is like yeast, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, until it was all leavened."Mk 13:20
Jesus spoke all these things in parables to the multitudes; and without a parable, he didn`t speak to them,Mt 13:13 Mk 4:33 Mk 4:34
that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying, "I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden from the foundation of the world."Mt 13:14 Mt 21:4 Mt 21:5
Then Jesus sent the multitudes away, and went into the house. His disciples came to him, saying, "Explain to us the parable of the darnel of the field."Mt 14:22 Mt 15:39 Mk 6:45 Mk 8:9
He answered them, "He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man,Mt 13:24 Mt 13:27
the field is the world; and the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; and the darnel are the sons of the evil one.Mt 24:14 Mt 28:18-20 Mk 16:15-20 Lk 24:47 Ro 10:18 Ro 16:26 Col 1:6 Rev 14:6
The enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels.Mt 13:25 Mt 13:28 2Co 2:17 2Co 11:3 2Co 11:13-15 Eph 2:2 Eph 6:11 Eph 6:12 2Th 2:8-11 1Pe 5:8 Rev 12:9 Rev 13:14 Rev 19:20 Rev 20:2 Rev 20:3 Rev 20:7-10
As therefore the darnel is gathered up and burned with fire; so will it be in the end of this age.
The Son of Man will send forth his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all things that cause stumbling, and those who do iniquity,Mt 24:31 Mk 13:27 Heb 1:6 Heb 1:7 Heb 1:14 Rev 5:11 Rev 5:12
and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be weeping and the gnashing of teeth.Mt 3:12 Mt 25:41 Ps 21:9 Dn 3:6 Dn 3:15-17 Dn 3:21-17 Dn 3:22-17 Mk 9:43-49 Lk 16:23 Lk 16:24 Rev 14:10 Rev 19:20 Rev 20:10 Rev 20:14 Rev 20:15 Rev 21:8

who having found one pearl of great price, he went and sold all that he had, and bought it.Pr 2:4 Isa 33:6 1Co 3:21-23 Eph 3:8 Col 2:3 1Jn 5:11 1Jn 5:12 Rev 21:21
"Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a dragnet, that was cast into the sea, and gathered some fish of every kind,Mt 4:19 Mk 1:17 Lk 5:10
which, when it was filled, they drew up on the beach. They sat down, and gathered the good into containers, but the bad they threw away.Mt 13:30 Mt 13:40-43 Mt 3:12
So will it be in the end of the world. The angels will come forth, and separate the wicked from among the righteous,Mt 13:39 Mt 24:31

It happened, when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed from there.Mk 4:33-35
Coming into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, so much that they were astonished, and said, "Where did this man get this wisdom, and these mighty works?Mt 2:23 Mk 6:1 Mk 6:2 Lk 4:16-30 Jn 1:11
